What is CITA?

CITA is an academically robust digital multimedia training program online in Spanish to equip pastors and other church leaders without cost.

Why is CITA needed?

Most pastors in Latin America have received little or no training at all, resulting in rampant doctrinal error and heresy: namely crushing legalism and the deceptive delusion of the prosperity”gospel. ” Seminaries, while essential (We are all dependent on their scholarship), are very few and costly and require the uprooting of families, and pastors to abandon their churches to matriculate.

Solution

A robust academic and practical training program online freely accessed that can train 1000’s of disciples and pastors.

Objective #1

Create a fully reformed and covenantal curriculum of 30 courses equivalent to a seminary master’s in divinity in Spanish and offer it on YouTube and the CITA website in audio, video, with a manuscript, syllabus, and exams for each course.

Objective #2

Identify pastors and other competent believers to serve as mentors for the students who study CITA materials and guide them through their educational experience. CITA actively encourages the pastors, missionaries, and other mature believers who in turn mentor their CITA students.

Results

By grace we have a relationship with 30 mentors who are training with CITA courses in virtually every Latin country including the US. Surprisingly, students have completed CITA courses in a dozen countries in Europe and Asia (Spanish speakers are everywhere). Entire denominations in Cuba and Colombia have elected to train with the CITA program. Twenty (20) of the thirty (30) courses planned have been completed. CITA-EDU follows the pattern of a 90-credit Master of Divinity, guided by, with permission, theological resources developed by leading Reformed seminaries in the U.S., meeting the hour/credit requirements. This includes studies in Hebrew and Greek, and practical pastoral theology.

USER-FRIENDLY FORMATS FOR HOME OR GROUP STUDY

CITA-EDU offers audio and video courses online. Students can study at home, in the car, or in group settings or via Zoom. Students have unlimited free access and can watch or listen to a class as many times as they want. They can also print the study guide to follow along in written form.
